War is a Necessary Evil

War pushes humanity forwards by forcing us to struggle in groups, uniting our collective genius into something greater and this produces feats of wonder and horror.

A bold statement this is, I know but read and have a think about it. Our race, humans, are a violent and vicious species, a fact I could go on about for ages but we are also extraordinarily creative. Unfortunately, the fact is we are at our creative best when trying to kill each other. Modern medicine advanced rapidly under the condition of two world wars, plane were created to assault targets from the air, and the internet was first introduced to form a network of fast and secure military communication. Without war, I would not be writing this on the internet but perhaps in a newspaper, you would not be flying to Ibiza next year and someone close to you could die of the common cold. War pushes humanity forwards by forcing us to struggle in groups, uniting our collective genius into something greater and this produces feats of wonder and horror. Yet when the dust settles we are mortified by the results of war and forget the incredible things that came from those past wars.

Hollywood is Tired

Do not mistake this for being a hater, I love the MCU and would watch every Star Wars Movie ever made so long as I lived long enough, but there is a lack of freshness and creativity.

When I say, Hollywood is tired, I do not mean they are bored or falling asleep, I mean they are creatively spent or so it seems. We have a problem in the film a television industry, it called regurgitation. Movies are constantly being remade or made into lengthy series, that create entire an entire universe. Do not mistake this for being a hater, I love the MCU and would watch every Star Wars Movie ever made so long as I lived long enough, but there is a lack of freshness and creativity. It feels like they care only about money, so go big on already known and loved ideas to capture our attentions quick and our pockets. I would love to see a complete fresh idea made to the big or small screen, like the Witcher finally making it as series, there are plenty of books of other books, I’ve read them. So, the ball is in the hand of Hollywood and the like to make the move and blow our mind with something fresh.

We Live in an Outrage Society

The question is why do so many of us fall victim to this tactic and why can we not simply live our lives in peace regardless of what someone else is doing?

We live in a society were the need to be noticed is so strong, that many are willing to humiliate themselves or others, to grab it. Some, go as far as to injure themselves or others with dangerous so called, ‘challenges’ that baffle the sanity. Why would you eat something knowing its used to wash clothes? More recently these actions can be summed up as outrage evoking. Celebrities and influencers alike thrive off it, they challenge the normality of society with provocative statements or actions designed to offend a group of people who, then bite the bate and are offended. They show their outrage online which the fans of the particular celebrity/influencer inevitably take offence to and defend their star and this whips up a storm of outrage designed to create exposure. The question is why do so many of us fall victim to this tactic and why can we not simply live our lives in peace regardless of what someone else is doing?

We Must Save Free Healthcare

Question, how do we save the NHS, allow the privatisation of unessential procedures but who decides or have harsh penalties towards those who abuse or burden the NHS like heavy smokers and drinkers?

Here in the United Kingdom, we have the beautiful NHS, free healthcare. Yes, big shock to my US readers but yes over here we do not have to pay upwards of ten thousand dollars just to have a baby. However, the NHS is in trouble as we keep getting sidetracked by other issues. We cannot allow free healthcare to disappear it should be free to have your life saved or bring a new life into the world. Question, how do we save the NHS, allow the privatisation of unessential procedures but who decides or have harsh penalties towards those who abuse or burden the NHS like heavy smokers and drinkers?

Thoughts on Privacy

Is privacy a clever fairytale spun to us by those who seek to profit off our wants and needs?

Privacy, a fundamental human right. At least here in the west we are told it is but do we actually have it, in the era where someone can send you a text and have access to all your photos and texts? My right right as a person is to be able withhold certain information about myself. But is privacy a clever fairytale spun to us by those who seek to profit off our wants and needs or is it a sinister plot to ease our ears whilst the government watch our every move?

Thoughts on Peace

For me I live by a simple motto, you have heard it, there is no emotion, there is peace.

In this life we all have to make our peace with people, work, death but how do we make peace with all that and be at peace? For me, I live by a simple motto, you may have heard it, there is no emotion, there is peace. This simply means, to me, that make all decision with a calm mind and look at it as machine would, logically. Do not feed emotion into a problem and create a hurricane from a storm.

Thoughts on Cloud Gaming

With 5G is it looking more possible?

Great idea, would make gaming more accessibly and affordable long term. However, in the short term it is not yet feasible, especially in places where internet providers run monopolies and provide minimal service but with 5G is it looking more possible?

Being an Influencer

I wonder to myself, am I an influencer with the thousands of subscribers I have across my channels or do I need hundreds of thousands to be classed as one?

With the world so geared towards self-independence and self-worth, being an influencer and the freedoms and social clout that comes with that title has become more appealing than ever. Yet, what does it mean to be one and can it easily be obtained without being appealing on the eyes or flushed with cash? I wonder to myself, am I an influencer with the thousands of subscribers I have across my channels or do I need hundreds of thousands to be classed as one?
