We Live in an Outrage Society
We live in a society were the need to be noticed is so strong, that many are willing to humiliate themselves or others, to grab it. Some, go as far as to injure themselves or others with dangerous so called, ‘challenges’ that baffle the sanity. Why would you eat something knowing its used to wash clothes? More recently these actions can be summed up as outrage evoking. Celebrities and influencers alike thrive off it, they challenge the normality of society with provocative statements or actions designed to offend a group of people who, then bite the bate and are offended. They show their outrage online which the fans of the particular celebrity/influencer inevitably take offence to and defend their star and this whips up a storm of outrage designed to create exposure. The question is why do so many of us fall victim to this tactic and why can we not simply live our lives in peace regardless of what someone else is doing?
