Being an Influencer

With the world so geared towards self-independence and self-worth, being an influencer and the freedoms and social clout that comes with that title has become more appealing than ever. Yet, what does it mean to be one and can it easily be obtained without being appealing on the eyes or flushed with cash? I wonder to myself, am I an influencer with the thousands of subscribers I have across my channels or do I need hundreds of thousands to be classed as one?
